On 17th September 2017 in Hylands Park, Chelmsford, Isabel Johnson is doing a sponsored walk
of 1.5 kilometres for Alzheimer's Research.

So what? Well, Isabel is 91 years old, and with her are walking her daughter Anne, grandson Stuart and her three great grandchildren — four generations of one family.

They are walking for Isabel's sister Winifred Abbott and for many others who suffer from this dreadful disease.

Isabel has lived in Ramsden all her life; her parents relocated from West Ham in 1915 when they bought
a new bungalow on the Homesteads Estate.

Isabel is very involved in village life and is probably known best for the 'History of Ramsden' exhibitions which she has organised and staged for nearly 30 years.
